Developer App

A Developer App acts as your OAuth 2.0 client and the point of configuration for the GlobaliD Connect flow your users will experience.

Prerequisites

Before you can create a Developer App, you need to set up a GlobaliD developer account. If you don’t have a basic GlobaliD account, do the following:

1. Download the GlobaliD mobile app from Google Play or the App Store.

2. Open the GlobaliD mobile app and sign up for a GlobaliD account.

After completing the above steps, you need to set up a developer account by doing the following:

1. Visit the Developer Portal.

2. Scan the QR code with your GlobaliD mobile app.

3. Provide the following information for your profile:

   • Company icon (optional)

   • Company Name

   • Contact Email

4. Click Save Changes.

Create a Developer App

To create a Developer App, do the following after logging in to the developer portal:

1. Under My Apps > My developer apps, click Create New App.

2. Provide the following information:

   • App logo (optional) - if no image is uploaded, then your company icon (found in your profile) will be used

   • App Name

   • App Description

   • Link to Terms of Service

   • Link to Privacy Policy

3. Click Save Changes.

Next Steps

Now you're ready to do one of the following:

• Enable PII sharing to be able to retrieve and decrypt users' PII.

• Set up Required Verifications to define Verifications users need in order to access your app.

• Create a Connect URL that allows users to log in to your app with GlobaliD.
